ABOUT OUR PHILANTHROPY
Arthritis
Alpha Omicron Pi’s international philanthropy is arthritis, and our philanthropy partner is the Arthritis Foundation. Since 1967, members and chapters have raised millions of dollars to fund research, provide resources, and support those affected by arthritis, a disease that disproportionately impacts women and also affects children.
AOII’s philanthropy dollars support several impactful Arthritis Foundation initiatives, including the Juvenile Arthritis Power Pack program, Juvenile Arthritis Camps, the Juvenile Arthritis Family Summit, and the 24/7 Helpline. Our Canadian sisters proudly support The Arthritis Society of Canada, furthering our shared mission to fight arthritis and improve lives.

OUR Local Efforts
The Tau Mu chapter is proud to support Soldiers' Angels, a nonprofit organization based in San Antonio that provides aid, comfort, and resources to active-duty service members, veterans, military families, and caregivers. Through programs ranging from food assistance and care packages to volunteer support and holiday initiatives, Soldiers' Angels is dedicated to ensuring that no soldier goes unloved and no veteran goes unsupported.
As a chapter, we are honored to contribute to this mission through our annual fundraiser, Taco 'Bout the Troops, where proceeds from ticket sales, t-shirt sales, and a silent auction directly support the organization. Our commitment extends beyond a single event—throughout the year, members write letters of encouragement, assemble care packages, and participate in service opportunities that express our gratitude to those who have served. With Texas A&M's deep-rooted military tradition, supporting Soldiers' Angels is a meaningful way for our sisters to live out the Aggie Core Value of Selfless Service while making a lasting impact on the military community.
